D'aria Rose Valbracht, Upper Grades Science, Performing Arts, & Assistant Teacher
This is Ms. Rose’s 21st year at Kittredge School. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Ms. Rose earned her BA from Evergreen State College in Marine Biology and Cultural Anthropology.
In addition to teaching marine biology to children and adults at the Port Townsend Marine Science Center, Ms. Rose has worked as an educator on a marine research boat, participated in stream rehabilitation projects, loves scuba diving, and leads Science Club, Kittredge’s after school STEAM program.
Ms. Rose has traveled extensively, studied abroad, and prior to adopting SF as her home, lived in Berlin, Germany, where she opened a costume shop with her sisters. Passionate about art, nature, travel, and languages, Ms. Rose is trained in ballet and modern dance, and enjoys creating art using a variety of mediums. She comes from a musical background, toured the country with her former band, and has worked in costume design and theater production, both on and off stage.
