Extended Day Will Close at 5pm on December 17th To Prepare for the Holiday Happening
Please note that all students should be picked up from Extended Day by 5pm Thursday, December 17.
This will give us some time to prepare the school for the Holiday Happening and it will give families some time together before coming back at 6:30 for the celebration.
Thanks for your help with this.

Holiday Happening – December 17th from 6:30 – 8:15
Extended Day will Close at 5:00!
All families are invited to attend Kittredge School’s annual Holiday Happening. Please mark your calendars now to make sure you don’t miss this wonderful event.
Please bring a finger food appetizer or finger food dessert to share.
A sandwich snack/dinner is provided.
There will be crafts and games for all.
We’ll close with a community sing-a-long.
As always, a great time is expected!
Rumor has it that Santa will make an appearance.
Important Note To All Parents:
During the Holiday Happening, teachers will be busy running the games and helping with the food so please don’t rely on them to watch your children. Kittredge believes parents need to supervise their own children. There will be a lot of stimuli throughout the school and it can be overwhelming to some. Also, the party must stay inside the school building. Students will not be able to leave the school without parent supervision.

Habit of Mind for December/January: Managing Impulsivity
Successful people have learned how to manage their impulses. They take time to consider options; they think before speaking or acting; they remain calm when stressed or challenged; they are thoughtful and considerate of others; and they proceed carefully.
“Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.” ~ Vincent Van Gogh
As the holiday season approaches there are lights, music, parties and people everywhere. All our senses are being stimulated and our impulses may be harder that usual to manage. This is a wonderful time to remember to stop and think before we act.
“Never be afraid to sit a while and think.” ~Lorraine Hansberry, American Playwright
