School Assembly on Friday
We will have our December assembly on Friday at 11am. Students will get together for this monthly activity to acknowledge each other and talk about our Habit of Mind and Character Counts pillar.
Our student council and our monthly assemblies have been organized by Ms. Gules and Ms. Pon-Barry. They have been a wonderful opportunity for the whole school to see each other and work as a community.

MORE DECEMBER NEWS
School Reopening Plan
The SFPHD accepted our application and is in the process of reviewing all the “desktop” information. In an SFPHD meeting this afternoon, we learned that because San Francisco is in the Purple Tier, we may need an extra step of having the state approve the application.
At this point we are still working to have everything on track for K to 2 to return on January 19th; third to fifth on January 25th.
We will have a brief parent update on Zoom on Thursday from 6 to 6:30pm. An invitation will be emailed tomorrow and it will be recorded for anyone who misses it.

HABIT OF MIND
Responding with Wonderment and Awe
Have you ever witnessed a young child react to the to a magician’s sleight of hand, or exclaim in delight over the appearance of a rainbow in the sky? Are you still thrilled at the sights and sounds of a fireworks display?Wonderment and Awe are the feelings you have when you recognize that something is amazing. Wanting to experience these feelings is what makes you strive to achieve great things, and to work towards BIG goals.
When the world around us sparks our interest and ignites our sense of wonder, we are inspired to learn, to explore, to imagine possibilities.
With lights and decorations appearing all around during the holiday season, and with the prospect of a new year with new potentials ahead, it is a wonderful time to practice responding with wonderment and awe.
