Holiday Happening this Thursday!
We look forward to seeing the entire community on Thursday, 12/19 at 6:30 p.m. for the Holiday Happening! Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to work a shift or bring a dessert. Food and refreshments will be provided. Join us for crafts and carnival games at 6:30 and please stay for caroling to close out the evening at 8 p.m.
There will be no study hall on Thursday, December 20, and Extended Day closes at 5pm. We recommend that children be picked up early enough to get ready at home for the Holiday Happening, which begins at 6:30pm.
Principal for the Day
A former Kittredge principal is making a special guest appearance in the office tomorrow.... and it's not Mr. L!
8th grader Liliana will resume her second term as Principal for the Day tomorrow. She'll be greeting students first thing in the morning, conducting important business from the office, and sending kids off at the end of the day. If you give us a call, you may even hear her voice on our answering machine. Kittredge will be in good hands tomorrow, and can't wait to see this principal in action.
Pajama Day
The coziest, comfiest spirit day of the year is this Friday, December 20! The Kittredge community is encouraged to come to school in their favorite pair of pj's. Bunny slippers, fuzzy robes, and sleeping caps are also welcome!
Reminder: No Hot Lunch this Week
This Friday is a minimum day. There will be no hot lunch. Hot lunches will resume in January.
Minimum Day this Friday
This Friday, December 20, is a minimum day! Please let us know if your child will be joining the Extended Day program using this google form no later than tomorrow, Wednesday, December 18.
Have a Wonderful Winter Break!
We will be on Winter Break from December 23-January 3. Classes will resume on January 6.
If you know of any planned absences for your child on either side of this break, please send an email to the office and your child's teacher to let us know.

Fencing Classes at Kittredge Begin in January!
Introduction to Fencing - Fridays 3:15-4:30
The Introduction to Fencing class introduces students to the exciting world of fencing in a fun and safe environment. Guided by an expert coach, kids will learn the basics of fencing, including:
• Simple Fencing Rules: Easy-to-understand rules and point scoring.
• Basic Movements: Fun drills to teach stances, footwork, and fencing positions.
• Practice Matches: Supervised bouts to practice skills against a real fencer.
• Safety First: Using equipment safely and respecting others on the strip.
This class helps kids develop focus, coordination, and self-confidence, sparking their interest in fencing through engaging lessons and play.
Class Details:
• Cost: $35 per student per class. For a 6-week session, the total is $210.
• First Class: Friday, January 17, 2025
• Schedule: The class runs every Friday except February 21st.
• Time: 3:15 PM - 4:30 PM

Games, Tacos and Magic, Oh My!

Holiday Teacher Gift Drive
That's a wrap! Thank you to all who have donated to celebrate our wonderful teachers and staff. Cash gifts will be handed out to staff on Friday, December 20.
