Holiday Happening this Wednesday!
We look forward to seeing the entire community on Wednesday, 12/20 at 6:30 p.m. for the Holiday Happening! Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to work a shift or bring a dish or dessert. Pizza, small bites, and refreshments will be provided. Please stay for caroling to close out the evening at 8 p.m.
Remember: there is no study hall on Wednesday, December 20, and Extended Day closes at 5pm. We recommend that children be picked up early enough to get ready at home for the Holiday Happening, which begins at 6:30pm.
Pajama Day this Thursday
After a big night like the Holiday Happening, what sounds better than staying in your jammies?
Thursday 12/21 is Pajama Day! Students and teachers alike should come in their coziest, comfiest clothes. Slippers are encouraged, but please bring a change of shoes for recess!
Muttville Waffle Fundraiser this Thursday
On Thursday, December 21, our student council is hosting a charity waffle breakfast to raise money for Muttville, an organization that saves and finds homes for senior dogs. A small cash donation is encouraged to support this worthy cause.
Muttville has a special place in our hearts, and especially in the heart of one of our students, whose dog Jax was adopted from Muttville. She took a moment to share with us what Jax means to her family:
"Jax means a lot to me because he's my dog. And not just a dog... a fiesty dog, which gives him character and makes funny memories. Muttville is very important because it saves old, homeless, senior dogs in need, which is very kind!"
Babysitting
My name is Misha Kleytman, and I'm a junior at San Francisco Waldorf High School. I've had a great time connecting with the kittredge kids while I volunteered as a teacher's aid over the duration of the Kittredge Summer School Program. We will be closed for the next two weeks for winter break, and we will miss you! The holidays are a time for gathering with the people we love, and we are so lucky to count our Kittredge community amongst those people.
We wish you two weeks of rest, friends, and family. We are looking forward to a new year of making memories with you.
