Talent Show Audition Form Deadline is Friday
All Audition Forms need to be given to David before Presidents’ Week Break
All students who want to audition for a solo or small group performance at our talent show need to know their act and be ready to perform it in class. Please help your child prepare and please remember that acts can be no longer than 3 minutes. Audition slips must be completed and returned by Friday before your child can audition.

Visitors are in the School
Applicants for next year in grades 1 through 8 are coming in to spend a day in a classroom. Kittredge is designed to have openings for new transfer students in 6th grade and other grades if space is available. Word of mouth has always been our best advertising, so if you know of any families looking for a strong academic yet nurturing environment, please have them call us.

MARCH NEWS
Project Cicero – March 4 to 7
This is the perfect way to donate any of your child’s outgrown books
We are pleased to tell you that Kittredge will again be partnering with Project Cicero Bay Area, the children’s book drive that brings much needed books to the classrooms and libraries of under-resourced public schools in the Bay Area. These past two years, families from our school, together with those from other participating San Francisco schools, donated nearly 50,000 books. The book drive distributed these books to nearly 400 teachers, reaching over 15,000 students in need.
The book drive is scheduled to run from Monday, March 4 through Thursday, March 7. We ask families to drop off their child(ren)’s outgrown, gently-used pleasure reading books in the designated boxes during these four days. Members of the book drive’s organizing committee will pick up the books on Friday, March 8, and bring them to a distribution site. Invited public school teachers from these under-resourced schools (Title 1 Funded) will come to a book fair on Saturday, March 9 and select books for their classrooms. The entire book drive will be done within one week.
Books in need are: Beginning Readers, Picture Books, Board Books, Early and Middle Grade Chapter Books, Young Adult Fiction, Graphic Novels, Classic Literature, Geography/History, Multicultural Literature, Biographies, Poetry, Plays/Drama, Up-to-date Reference.
Please no Adult Books or textbooks.
For more information please go to the book drive’s website, www.projectcicerobayarea.org.

**Extended Day will close at 5:00**
Please mark your calendars now to make sure you and your child can attend this entertaining evening of talent. Classes are working on their group performances with David. KPA NEWS
Count-Me-In Ideas for the Auction
A note from Homa Hanjani, Count-Me-In Coordinator
Dear Wonderful Kittredge Community,
A team is working hard to make this year’s Dinner & Auction a fun and successful event… and we need your help with Count-Me-Ins!
Count-Me-Ins are fun and inclusive experiences that Kittredge families and faculty can sign up for during the silent auction.
They are very easy to create. By filling out the attached form, you are designing a Count-Me-In event to host. When we receive it, we will make it available for families to sign up. Click here for ideas and information!
In past years, great items have included the following, just to name a few:
Donut Hike
Night of Persian Delights – Drinks, appetizer, dinner, and dessert!
Pajama Jammy with Ms. Pon Barry
Art Party with Katie B
Thank you for helping us make the auction a great success.
