Learning in a Winter Wonderland
Another year, another successful Yosemite trip! Our 7th and 8th graders had so much fun hiking, cross-country skiing, exploring, and learning in Yosemite National Park. Take a look at some of the photos below to see all the fun for yourself!
2/3 Celebration of Learning Tomorrow Afternoon
Tomorrow afternoon the 2/3 class will have their Celebration of Learning where they will present the sea creature projects they have been working on. Parents are encouraged to attend the celebration, which begins at 2:15.
Project Cicero - Last Day Tomorrow!
Tomorrow is the last day to participate in this year’s Project Cicero Book Drive, a volunteer-run annual children’s book drive designed to create and supplement classroom libraries in under-resourced Bay Area public schools.
You can bring your gently used or brand new books to the Kittredge office through the end of the day tomorrow.
Science Club Resumes Tomorrow
After a two week hiatus, Science Club with Ms. Rose is back! Students can expect more magical, scientific fun beginning tomorrow afternoon.
Parking on Lake Street
There will be no parking on Lake Street between 24th and 26th, and on 25th North of Lake Street this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Parents will still be able to drop off and pick up students in front of the school, but should plan for extra time needed for can anticipate more traffic and less parking than usual.
Silly Sock Day this Friday!
Socks come in all kinds of funky prints and fabulous patterns - what does your favorite pair look like? Maybe it has hippos, or flamingos, or superheroes, or maybe even all three! Whatever they may be, please be sure to wear your silliest socks to Kittredge this Friday, 3/1, for Silly Sock Day.

Futsal Season is Here
Permission slips for futsal teams will go out this week. There will be a varsity team, as well as a junior varsity scrimmage team. Games will begin in the second week of March.

K-3 Goes to the Randall Museum
Next Wednesday, 3/6, our K-3 classes will attend a field trip to the Randall Museum! Classes are still in need of parent drivers, so please reach out to Ms. Grazi or Ms. Horrocks if you are interested!
Class Pictures - Friday, March 8
Get ready to say cheese! Class pictures will be taken next Friday, 3/8. Students should come to school in outfits they feel confident being photographed in, and might want to pack a comb or brush in their backpack for any last minute adjustments.
Looking Ahead
Talent Show - Thursday, March 14
Get ready to hop in a time machine because we are nearly two weeks away from this year's Talent Show, and it's sure to be a blast from the past! Students have been hard at work practicing songs from the 60's through the present, and we can't to see the performances they've put together.
Below are the costumes each class should wear for their performance:
K/1 - Tie-dye or rainbow, sunglasses optional
2/3 - Tie-dye or rainbow, sunglasses optional
4/5 - Button down t-shirt and jeans
6 - All white outfit
7 - Black and white outfit
8 - Disco-inspired attire
The Talent Show will be held at Jewish Community High School of the Bay from 6:30 to 8pm. Students should arrive no later than 6:15 to be seated with their class. Parents, you are welcome to use JCHS's secure parking garage, located just around the corner from the school's entrance on Ellis Street. Set your navigation to 1227 Pierce Street, and use the call box outside the garage to enter upon arrival.
Second Trimester Ends Thursday, March 14
We're almost at the finish line for the second trimester, which ends on Thursday, March 14. Please be sure to check in with your child (and Teacherease!) about any missing assignments.
