This Week’s News
Tomorrow is The Cutest Day of the Year
Does your child have a fluffy, furry, funny friend? Tomorrow’s the day to bring one to school because Wednesday, March 1, is Bring a Stuffy to School Day. Students can expect to see bears, bunnies, and critters of all sorts in their classmates’ arms tomorrow. Please keep in mind, this stuffy should fit in your child’s backpack.
They’re Back!
Our 7th and 8th graders are back at Kittredge, and we must say, we’re happy to have them back… it’s not quite Kittredge without a full house! We’ve loved hearing all about their jam-packed week of fun in the snow!
Project Cicero Book Drive
Does your family have any books the kids have outgrown, finished or don’t need anymore? Bring those books down to Kittredge to participate in this year’s Project Cicero Book Drive, a volunteer-run annual children’s book drive designed to create and supplement classroom libraries in under-resourced Bay Area public schools. Books for donation should be in new, or almost new condition.
We will be collecting books through next Wednesday, March 8.
Next Week’s News
Next Friday is Class Picture Day
MugsyClicks is back again next Friday, March 10 to snap pictures of each class. Parents should have received a reminder email from them this week. Students should come prepared to give their best smile… followed, of course, by their silliest face!
Looking Ahead
Talent Show Costumes
You should have received an email from the office before the break regarding your child’s assigned costumes for their class act in the Talent Show. If you have not received notice about costumes, please reach out! We’re so excited to see what the kids accomplish onstage this year.
Talent Show Individual Acts
You should have received an email today confirming your child’s individual act. If you did not receive an email and your child would like to perform a song, dance, juggling, or comedy routine please contact the office ASAP. We can wait to see, hear, and laugh to all of the hidden talents in our midst!
No School on Friday, March 17
Friday, March 17 is a Teacher Work Day, and school will be closed. If you would like to request Extended Care on this day, please email the office. Please note that we need a minimum of 5 students to offer Extendo.
Trimester 3 is Right Around the Corner
It feels hard to believe, but our second trimester is almost over. Friday, March 17 is the last day of the trimester. If you need to check in on Teacherease regarding your child’s progress, now is the time to do so. Conferences will be held on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31.
