Kittredge Konnection – January 21

THIS WEEK’S NEWS

Thank you, Wendell Nelson!

Our 7th and 8th grade math students are fortunate to have the extra help of Wendell Nelson. Wendell, a former professor (and grandfather to Shane and Zach) has graciously agreed to be an additional set of eyes and ears to answer questions and explain the thinking process to students working in Mr. Young’s math groups each morning. Thank you from all of us!

Summer School 2020 is being Scheduled

We believe that summer is a great opportunity to engage children in activities that enrich their academic foundation and keep them involved and interested in learning. Therefore, we will offer one five-week academic session this summer. The dates are June 22 to July 24.

Brochures and registration will be available late in February. We hope you will be able to use this program, as it is a worthwhile experience for any child. Also, we appreciate you letting your friends know of this program since it is open to students in any school.

COMMUNITY NEWS

A Note from Greg and Sam Shepherd

Sam and I are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of everyone at Kittredge. Thank you! With the thoughtful and gentle way that Sam’s mother’s passing was handled in the classroom, with your unconditional offers of help, with the caring and even witty cards that Sam’s classmates wrote to support him, and with your generous financial support, we feel grateful for and loved by our Kittredge family. We are blessed to be a part of this community.

Thank you for keeping us in your hearts and thoughts.
