7th & 8th Hike
Our 7th and 8th graders are off on an adventure! Middle school students are on a hike through Land's End to Ocean Beach. This hike should get them (and their boots) Yosemite-ready!
Visitor Season is Here!
Applications are in, and it's now time for Kittredge to open our doors to visitors applying for the 25-26 school year. Between individual visit days and kindergarten practices, this time of year is full of new faces! Thank you to our Kittredge kids for being a warm and welcoming community, and thank you to our Kittredge parents for spreading the word about our special little school.
Sports Report
This afternoon we have not one but two basketball games to look forward to!
Our girls' varsity team will be playing CAIS at CAIS at 4pm. Our boys' varsity team will be playing KIPP SF at CAIS at 5pm.
Boys will play again this Friday against Gateway at Gateway at 4pm.
Hot Lunch
This week our hot lunch will be a turkey and cheese sandwich. Meals will include a side item, a piece of fruit, and a juice box. If you would like to sign your child up for hot lunch this month, you can do so here.
Trimester 2 Midpoint
Our second trimester is nearly halfway over! Next Friday, January 24th, is the midpoint. Now is a great time to check Teacherease, and check in with your kids! Be sure to cross check with your child for any pending assignments.
Spirit Gear
We're rolling out a new system here at Kittredge - Spirit Points!
Teachers will be tracking how many students wear Kittredge gear on Friday Spirit Days. Each student wearing gear is a point, and those points will add up to something fun for the class! We hope you'll participate by showing off some Kittredge pride!
Fencing
Our new fencing program is off to a great start! Students ages 6-13 are all enjoying learning this new skill together. Classes are held from 3:30-4:30pm on Friay afternoons.

Lunar New Year Assembly
Lunar New Year is a celebration that marks the beginning of the lunar calendar, and is a time for families to come together, honor their ancestors, and celebrate new beginnings. Each year is associated with one of the 12 zodiac animals, and traditional customs include feasting, giving red envelopes for good luck, and cleaning to sweep away bad fortune.
Parents and community members are invited to join us at Rochambeau at 1:45pm for a special Lunar New Year assembly. Our school community can join in the celebration by wearing red to school for good luck.
Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy will be performing a Lion Dance for students, teachers, and community members. Tat Wong can also offer a Lunar New Year FREE Introductory class for families and/or students of Kittredge School who want to try Kung Fu during Jan & Feb if they mention 'Tat Wong Kung Fu Lion Dance' when contacting the school.
