This Week's News
Welcome Back, Kittredge!
We hope you had a wonderful break filled with family time and ease. We are so excited to be back, and can't wait to see what 2025 has in store for our Kittredge community!
Thank You to our Holiday Happening Volunteers!
We owe a great big thank you to parents Riva, Adrianne, Jessica, Jaclyn, Mindee, Derek, Allison, Laura, Tomoko, Lisa, Leyla, Una, and Armand for putting on this year's Holiday Happening! Our KPA volunteers turned our little school into a Winter Wonderland, and every activity leader contributed to an evening of festive fun. We are so grateful to everyone who made this year's Holiday Happening so special.
Habit of Mind: Gathering Data Through All Senses
“The simple act of paying attention can take you a long way.”
This month, we are encouraging learners to gather internal and external data as they move through the world. This means students should be using their five senses to notice and wonder about the world around them, as well as looking internally and examining their emotional landscape. The sharper we hone our skill of collecting the information around us, the more informed we become.
Rochambeau
Our beloved playground is getting a facelift! Rochambeau Park is closed today to repave the pavement surface. We expect to be back tomorrow, and in the meantime we've been enjoying the change of pace by exploring the Richmond Playground on 19th and California.
Hot Lunch
Hot lunch is back!
This week our hot lunch will be burrito bowls (chicken or vegetarian). Meals will include a side item, a piece of fruit, and a juice box. If you would like to sign your child up for hot lunch for the whole month, you can do so here.
New Student Application Deadline this Friday!
A friendly reminder that new student applications for our 2025-2026 school year are due this Friday, January 10! We are so excited to read through y9our applications and get to know our newest cohort of Kittredge kids! Current families will be invited to reenroll at the end of the month.
