Kittredge Kids Made a Splash at Last Week’s Talent Show!
This year’s Talent Show was an absolute delight, and we have so many people to thank!
Thank you to Gianfranco, who went above and beyond to coordinate each class’s vocal and dance performance! Thank you to the Kittredge teachers for working tirelessly with their classes on their acts! Thank you to Pete and John Lavaroni for being our master sound team! Thank you to Kevin, Mr. Young, and Cerys for capturing everything on photo and video! And thank you, our Kittredge community, supporting the practices that led up to the show and for hooting, hollering, cheering and stomping for our students as they sang, danced, and banjo’d the night away. We count ourselves very lucky!
2/3/4 Goes to the Opera
This week started off on a high note for our 2/3/4 class as they took an early-morning field trip to the San Francisco Opera House where they were treated to dance performances from around the world. Students rung in Nawruz, the new year, and first day of spring with dances from around the globe. Baile folklórico complete with mariachis, a parasol dance from China, and relaxing melodies of Tahitian dance were a wonderful way to dance into the week. Thank you to the parent drivers who made it possible!

The first Junior Varsity Futsal Academy game of the season was yesterday, and we couldn’t be prouder of how our 5th and 6th graders showed up against CDS!
The next Varsity Futsal game against CAIS is this Thursday at 4:00 PM.

The Great Kittredge Bake Sale
Next Wednesday, March 29, the Kittredge Student Council will hold a bake sale to raise money for the organization Team Seas. Every dollar we raise equals one pound of garbage cleaned from the ocean! Please support our students as they raise money for our oceans!
Conferences on March 30 and 31
Second trimester conferences will be held next Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31. By now, all parents should have received an email from their child’s teacher to sign up for conferences. The first conference begins at 12:30, and last conference begins at 5.
Extended Day will be available from 12pm-6pm on Thursday March 30 and Friday March 31. The drop-in rate for a half day is $40. If you would like to sign your child up for Extended Day, please email the office.
Looking Ahead
Put on Your Dancing Shoes!
And if your sixth, seventh, or eighth grader needs another excuse to dress up, we have the event for you! The annual Middle School Dance will be held at Kittredge on Friday, April 21.
Movie Character Day
Why wait for Halloween to dress up as your favorite Avenger, magical creature, or Disney princess? On Wednesday, April 5, Kittredge turns into a Hollywood studio for Movie Character Day. We can’t wait to see the outfits our creative community comes up with!
