Updated Head Count Needed
Several weeks ago, we sent a survey asking for your third trimester commitment to either in-person learning for the days that are offered, or for remote learning every day.
Since that time, there have been a couple of changes… San Francisco has moved down to the Red Tier, quarantining after travel is no longer required (although still suggested), all grades K to 8 are now permitted be taught inside on their in-person days, and many of our teachers and community members have been vaccinated or will be soon.
Due to these changes, we wanted to get another, more current, head count on who we should expect in person for the third trimester.
Please be on the lookout for another survey later this week so that we can have your latest confirmation to use as we continue our plans for the third trimester.
Also please note that families who will be new to in-person learning for the third trimester will need to complete our Social Contract and email a negative Covid Test for all members of their household. Please make sure to schedule your test about one week before your child’s first day of in-person learning. Thank you!

Habit of Mind Assembly on Monday: Taking Responsible Risks
Responsible risk takers take educated risks, drawing on past knowledge, and thinking about the consequences. We hope that our students will learn how to take intellectual as well as responsible physical risks, as we provide a supportive environment and encourage safe and appropriate risk taking.
Thank you to everyone who has sent Ms. Gules a 10 second video showing the new skill that your child took a responsible risk to learn. Our hope is to share a “highlights” film during our assembly.

Our Second Trimester Ends Friday, March 19
There is a little over 1 week left in the 2nd trimester. Now is a great time to check in with your children and their google classroom accounts to make sure there are no surprises.

There will be no classes on Friday, March 19. This staff development day will give us a chance to meet, prepare and review the current curriculum needs.
