Kittredge Konnection – May 10, 2016

Thank You KPA!

The faculty and staff want to take this opportunity to thank the Kittredge Parents’ Association for their tremendous financial and emotional backing throughout the year. The positive spirit and fun time at the Dinner and Auction last Saturday night showed just how much support we receive from the entire school community.

The KPA support of special events, (first day coffee, Holiday Happening, Talent Show, and graduation), the purchasing of technology, sports equipment and other supplies, as well as the funding of classroom field trips has made Kittredge School a better place for teachers to teach and students to learn.

We want to thank each and every parent, friend and relative for attending and making the party so much fun. The KPA leadership and the Auction/Dinner volunteers outdid themselves this year. Please give them all a hand!

This Week’s Highlights

Screen-Free Week: Monday, May 9 to Sunday, May15

We hope that many of our students and families are turning off their screens this week. For entertainment, participants are able to read, daydream, explore, enjoy nature, and spend time with family and friends. This annual celebration gives children, families, schools and communities a chance to turn off screens and turn on life.

Screens can still be used for school assignments. The idea of this week is to find and enjoy other means of entertainment and socializing for seven days.
