This Week's News
Thank You to the KPA for Our Teacher Appreciation Breakfast!
We want to send a big thank you to the KPA for creating a beautiful breakfast spread for our faculty! The bagels, muffins, fruit, and juices made every teacher at Kittredge smile. Thank you, KPA!
Sports Day
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th, is Sports Day!
Students and teachers are encouraged to come to school in their favorite sports gear. Whether it's baseball, basketball, football, or even pickleball, we look forward to seeing Kittredge in their favorite sporty outfits or representing their favorite teams.
Screen-Free Challenge Ends Tomorrow
Today is the last day of our annual screen-free challenge, and we couldn't be prouder of the way Kittredge kids have managed their impulsivity and worked interdepentently with their classmates to reach their group goals. We hope each family found this exercise fruitful, and found fun, new, ways to spend their time.
Tomorrow, May 8, the 2-3 class will take a walking field trip to Lincoln Park as a reward for their persistence in reducing screen time! Parents should ensure that children come to school in comfortable walking shoes, with a water bottle and plenty of sunscreen!
Student Athlete Sports Banquet
On Wednesday, May 8th, the sports don't stop!
If your child was on a Kittredge sports team your family is invited to join Coach Gules and fellow student athletes for the Kittredge School sports banquet! The festivities will be at Rochambeau Park from 5-7pm. Awards will be given out at 6pm.
Please let us know if you will be attending using this Google form.
Last Science Club Session Starts TOMORROW!
Spring is here! As we observe the natural world around us, we can notice that flowers are blooming, and our daylight hours are lasting longer. What a perfect time to dive into our final theme of Color, Light, and Chemistry!
This will be our final 4-week session of the year, meeting on May 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. There will be no Science Club meeting our last week of school. Come join us on Wednesdays for the next four weeks, and explore a new STEAM project every week!

That's a Wrap!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Spring Fundraiser! We achieved our Spring fundraising goal, and raised $6,624! From the generous families who contributed goods and services to our amazing teachers who donate their time and creativity for the Count-Me-Ins to the lucky "winners" of raffles and auctions, it truly takes a village to raise funds to support the school. A special shout-out to Kevin Wong, Michelle Mah, and Jacyln Lerch organizing the online auction... and we can't forget our tireless KPA President Jessica May-Shah, for her dedication and support.
Last KPA Meeting of the Year! Tuesday, May 14 at 6 p.m.
Thank you amazing parent community for another lovely school year supporting our teachers and kids! Join us at Kittredge for light snacks and beverages as we celebrate our hard work this year. We will discuss fundraising recaps, past events, and choose class parents for next year. We will also celebrate Anna Malyala, Treasurer, and Leyla Cebeci, Secretary, as they pass on the torch to two new board members. Childcare and pizza for the kids will also be provided. Zoom option available.
Please note, we will call a Special Meeting to be held during the last 15 minutes of Tuesday's meeting to vote on updates to the current KPA BYLAWS regarding the endowment fund.
