Yesterday’s Costumes Were Fab-Boo-Lous!

Hot Cheetos, bananas, and elves, oh my!

We loved seeing our students parading around the block looking spooky, silly, and everything in between.

Habit of Mind: Responding with Wonderment and Awe

“Go outside and turn your attention to the many miracles around you.” – Wayne Dyer

The Habit of Mind for the next two months is Responding with Wonderment and Awe.

Individuals who practice this habit are curious and present. They notice little things, and wonder what makes them work. Then, they set out to find their answer! Most importantly, they know how to find the joy and beauty in asking questions about the world around them.\

6th Graders Go to the Mission Cultural Center

This Friday, November 4, the 6th grade class will visit the Mission Cultural Center to view the Dia de los Muertos altar. Students will leave school around 10:00, and will return before 3:00.

Final Cross Country Meet

And just like that, the season is nearly over. We are so proud of this year’s Cross Country crew, whose final meet will be next Thursday, November 10, at 3:30. Parents should plan on to pick up runners from school at 2:45 for a 3:00 walk-through of the course.

Speaking of Sports…..

Our first Spirit Day of the year is Sports Day!

Next Wednesday, November 9, students and teachers should come dressed as their favorite athletes, or in gear for their favorite game.

Monday Music Lessons with Gianfranco

Weekly lessons will teach students how to play the Classical Guitar or Piano. Lessons are one-on-one, and 30 minutes each.

Students who are beginners will explore basic methods and techniques with their instruments such as chords, scales and reading musical notations. Students will learn a song from the Suzuki method Guitar book or from the Piano Adventures series.

Students who are slightly intermediate or advance with music will explore more musical repertoire for either the Guitar or the Piano, as well as enhancing their technique and preparing them all for a future recital to perform!

Each music session is $45 for 30 minutes
