Canned Food Drive is Underway
This time of year there are many ways to help and care for those less fortunate than we are. The San Francisco Rescue Mission has dropped off a food collection barrel in the office.
Canned foods, cereals, rice, pastas and paper goods would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Kittredge Volleyball Team Made the Playoffs!
The Kittredge Volleyball Team had a very exciting season and made the playoffs again.
The quarter-final game is today at 4:00pm vs. Live Oak at UCSF Mission Bay.
If we win, the semi-final game is at 4:00pm on Thursday at Burkes and if we win, the Finals will be at 5:15pm on Friday.
Details will be announced after each game.
We are very proud of the teamwork, sportsmanship and support of each other that our team demonstrated throughout the season. Go Kittredge!

Spanish Field Trip for Sixth Graders – Thursday, November 7
On Thursday, our sixth grade students will be visiting “El Barrio de la Mission”. They will see murals, eat burritos and tour the Dia de los Muertos exhibit at the Mission Cultural Center. Students will be leaving by 9:30 am and will be back to school by 3pm.

Seventh and Eighth Grades to see The Crucible – Thursday, November 7
This Thursday, the 7th and 8th grades will be visiting Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep to view their presentation of The Crucible, a play the students have read in class.
Students and teachers will leave school with their lunches soon after 8:30 in the morning and take MUNI to SHCP. They plan to be back before 2:00.

Cross-country: Running Gag Finals Results

The SFAL final race was Friday and our Kittredge Running Gags all ran great. Some notables were Allie won her race and was crowned the league champion for the 5th/6th grade girls and Alex who was again in the top five, finishing fourth in the 7th/8th grade league championship race. All the Kittredge runners did a great job in the finals and throughout the season! It was my pleasure to be their coach this year! They were a great group! As always…Go, Go Gags!

See’s Chocolate Fundraiser… Get your Holiday Shopping Done the Easy Way

The See’s Fundraiser is here! The forms were sent home with your children last Friday and additional forms are located next to Trudy’s desk. Please remember the sale ends Friday, November 22. All orders must be accompanied by cash or check made out to the Kittredge Parents Association (KPA). Candy will be available in mid December. All support big or small is greatly appreciated and thank you for helping make our fundraiser a HUGE success!

Our First Spirit Day – November 21!
Student council has chosen “Class Spirit Day” to be the first school spirit day this year. Each class is working with their teacher to come up with a classroom theme that they will use. We will share the results with each other on Class Spirit Day… November 21.

Our First Trimester Ends November 26
Please remember that the first trimester will end in about 3 weeks. Parents can always check their child’s progress on TeacherEase and contact teachers with any questions. If you need another “invitation” with log-in information, please ask Trudy.

School-Wide Field Trip Tuesday, November 26; No Study Hall November 25 & 26
Tuesday, November 26 the entire school will visit the Academy of Sciences for a day of fun and learning. Students will spend time with their big buddies and their classmates enjoying the exhibits. After lunch, each class will head back to Kittredge with their teachers. If you have volunteered to chaperone and have a membership, please let your child’s teacher know.
On both Monday and Tuesday, 25 and 26, there will be no Study Hall. Study Hall students will be dismissed at 3 to go home or to join Extendo and be picked up at 4:30.

Thanksgiving Holiday Break
No Classes Wednesday, November 27
Please remember there will be no classes on Wednesday, November 27. Extended Day will be available from 8am until 5pm for 5 or more students.
A Survey Monkey link will be emailed next week. It will be open until November 20 and we will plan our staffing after that time, if needed. As always, there is no charge for Extended Day if you have a contract and there is a $50 charge for drop-ins.
Please note that we will close Extendo at 5pm so that everyone can begin his or her holiday.
