High School Visit Day - No 8th Grade Tomorrow, October 16
Our 8th graders will not have classes at Kittredge tomorrow, October 16 so that they they can visit classes on high school campuses. 8th grade students will also not have classes next Thursday, October 24.
Open House this Saturday, October 19
On Saturday, October 19, we invite parents of Kindergarten applicants to join us at Kittredge at 10am. Childcare will be available for children ages 4 and up.
If you know of a family that you think would be a great fit, send them our way! We'd love to meet them.
Sports Report
Kittredge is gearing up for an exciting sports week, with a cross country meet ithis afternoon at Lindley Meadow. The meet will begin at 4:30, the walk-through is at 4:00.
This Thursday, October 17, is a volleyball game against CDS at Columbia Park. The game will begin at 4:00pm.
Hot Lunch
This week's hot lunch will be chicken tenders, carrots, gogurts and a juice box. If you'd like to order, there's still time! You can do so here.

K-3 Pumpkin Patch Trip 10/21
Ms. Grazi's Kindergartners and Ms. Horrocks' second and third graders are heading to the Mickelson Pumpkin Patch on Monday, October 21. Please make sure your child has appropriate footwear, and clothing for this trip. A hearty lunch and full water bottle will set your child up for a successful field trip!
Parent Driver Forms
Friendly reminder to please turn your driver forms into the office if you plan on driving for any upcoming field trips!
Science Club Session 2: Math Magic
Science Club continues with a new session starting next week on Tuesday, October 22nd. In this session we will explore how math and science are interconnected. Come join us Tuesdays after school to create fun STEAM projects!

Looking Ahead
Halloween
Goblins and ghouls, it's almost time! Halloween will be here in just a few short weeks. We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few rules. First, Kittredge is a candy-free school. Please refrain from sending your child with any sugary sweets on the 31st. Second, we do not allow costumes that include weapons of any kind (including props), nor do we allow inflatable costumes. We appreciate your cooperation.
On Thursday, October 31st, parents and family members are invited to join us at 2pm for our annual holiday parade. Parents, if you plan to depart with your child from the playground, please be sure to sign your child out with their teacher.
Parent Volunteers Wanted
Speaking of Halloween! We are excited to share that Kittredge School will celebrate Halloween on Oct 27 and Oct 31, passing out treats and spreading the word about the best little school in town. If you would like to volunteer either outside of Kittredge or at the Great Hauntway, please email Ms. Pon-Barry.
Yosemite Meeting November 19
Heads up, 7th and 8th graders! An informational meeting for this year's Yosemite trip will be held at Kittredge on Tuesday, November 19 from 6:30-7:30pm. Parents and students are encouraged to attend. Snacks will be provided.
