Big Wins and Big Grins!
Last week was a big week for our Kittredge athletes!
Monday’s Cross Country runners made us proud at the Lindley Meadow meet, and our Volleyball team brought home another win, continuing an excellent season.
There will be a Cross Country meet this Friday, October 28, at 4:30pm.
We are so proud of each and every one of our Coyotes!
Diwali Celebration
Kittredge’s Diwali celebration on Monday was a total joy! We love seeing our vibrant community come together to learn to dance bhangra, make chalk rangolis, eat samosas, and drink mango lassi!
A big thank you to our KPA parent volunteers, Anna Malyala, Riva Gokhale, and Jessica May-Shah, who made this celebration happen.

Pumpkin Patch
Tomorrow’s the big day! One of the most anticipated field trips of the school year, the lower grades pumpkin patch trip, happens tomorrow – Wednesday, October 26th.
If your child uses a booster seat, please send it to school with them on the 26th. Don’t forget to pack a hearty lunch, water bottle, and comfortable walking shoes.

Halloween
Halloween is next week already! Can you believe it?!
Students (and teachers) are encouraged to wear costumes all day, and participate in the Halloween spirit. Costumes may not contain any toy weapons, and anything that might interfere with learning (masks, wings, and other distracting accessories) should be kept in students’ backpacks during class time. As a reminder, Kittredge is a candy-free school.
Our annual costume parade will be on Monday, October 31 at 2:30pm. Parents are encouraged to meet students outside of Kittredge and parade to Rochambeau Park, where our music teacher Gianfranco will lead the students in a Halloween song. Afterwards, students, parents, goblins, and ghouls may stay to mingle and celebrate the holiday. Parents must notify their child’s teacher before leaving the playground with their child.

Sibling Applications Due
Sibling applications to Kittredge are due Tuesday, November 15. Parents should ensure that they have filled out their applications by this date. Have questions about the sibling application process? Don’t hesitate to reach out to the office. We’re here to help!
Academy of Sciences
Kittredge’s annual school-wide trip to the Academy of Sciences is next Tuesday, November 1. If you plan on driving and have yet to submit a driver information form, please do so as soon as possible. Forms should be submitted to jamieavery@kittredge.org.

Halloween Weekend Haunted House (outside)
Come check out The Walking Dead Experience built by George Bessolo ands his family for Halloween. The theme is The Walking Dead TV show, so expect lots of zombies and other scares. Most of the props are homemade and you might recognize some of the actors! Everyone is welcome, but it might be too scary for the youngest trick-or-treaters.

Fall/Winter Count-Me-In Host
Do you have an idea for an event you’d like to offer to other Kittredge kids, parents or families? A fun activity or event that can help build community and raise a little $ for the school?
Our current call is for Fall & Winter events, to be held between Nov and the beginning of March! Spring count-me-ins will be gathered separately in the new year. Deadline for Fall/Winter sign-up is this Thursday, 10/27
