Thank You KPA
Thank you to Michelle and Trae Stephens (Thad and Tsali’s parents) for hosting the Kittredge Parent Association Social last Thursday evening. With drinks, food, no rain, and wonderful company it really couldn’t have been better.
The raffle drawing was fun entertainment as well as a successful event in itself. Thank you, Tom Vilhauer.
And of course thank you to every Kittredge School parent, whether or not you attended, because each of you create the KPA. Your support of your children and the school are evident every day. For those who couldn’t make it, we hope to celebrate with you next time!

We want to thank 8th graders Saphina and Abby for for being impressively poised and focused during our Open House last Saturday. Thanks also to Kittredge parent Cindy Tam, for being a terrific parent representative and to Emma Gorin for showing us what life is like in high school as a Kittredge graduate.

Cross-Country Race at Crissy Field on Thursday
Our cross country team will be racing at 4:30 on Thursday at Crissy Field It’s been a great season so far with our runners improving their time each race. Kittredge is hosting this meet, and Ms. Gules is looking for volunteers. If you are a cross-country parent and willing to volunteer, please contact Ms. Gules. Go Gags!

Halloween at Kittredge – Friday, October 29
All students should come to school in costume this Friday. Costumes cannot include blood, weapons or toy weapons of any kind. Also, new for Covid… no inflatable costumes with fans will be permitted.
Masks and other accessories should be kept in a bag until the parade (weather permitting) at 2:00.
Join us for a few songs and merriment at Rochambeau immediately following the parade. Happy Halloween!

After School “Science with Ms. Rose” is Back!
Ms. Rose is pleased to be able to offer her hands on science club to Kittredge students once again. All ages are welcome to enroll.

November 10 – NatureBridge Meeting for 7th and 8th Grade Parents and Students
7pm on Zoom
All 7th and 8th grade families are encouraged to attend this informational meeting. Come learn about a typical day at NatureBridge. You will get an overview of the week in Yosemite Park as well as a feel for what we expect of each student academically and socially.
This is the first time for both grades, so we encourage everyone to attend. Covid protocol will be discussed.

KPA Donut Hike – November 7!
A message from Devon McConnell
Back by popular demand – Join us for the third annual Kittredge Kommunity Donut Hike! A 1-ish mile donut-shaped hike starting and ending by baker beach with Bob’s donuts and coffee afterwards. Bob’s donuts are like little fluffy clouds of warmth and happiness – definitely worth the hike.
When: Sunday November 7th meet at 10, wrap up around noon. Feel free to bring a picnic for afterwards at the beach.
Where to meet:Meet at the Lobos Creek trailhead on Lincoln Blvd close to Baker Beach. There is a bus top there. The hike will end at Baker Beach.
Who:All Kittredge families, parents and kids welcome!
The donut hike is a fundraiser for the KPA. It is sponsored by a Kittredge family and our goal is to raise $1000. Suggested donation per family is $50. If you’re unable to come but would still like to support any and all donations appreciated.
