Thank You KPA
Thank you to Jenn (and Howard) Buzick for hosting the Kittredge Parent Association Social last Friday evening. With drinks, food, beautiful weather, and wonderful company I heard many references to having a garden party. It really couldn’t have been better.
And of course thank you to every Kittredge School parent, whether or not you attended, because each of you create the KPA. Your support of your children and the school are evident and appreciated every day. For those who couldn’t make it, we hope to celebrate with you next time!

New Month – New Friday Lunch Orders
Please return the attached Hot Lunch form for any Friday lunches you want to order in November. Forms need to be turned in by noon on Thursday so we can count your child’s order. The November lunch form is in the office or you can print one here:

Halloween at Kittredge
All students should come to school in costume on Thursday, October 31. Costumes cannot include blood, weapons or toy weapons of any kind. Masks and other accessories should be kept in a bag until the parade (weather and air quality permitting) at 2:00. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend.

Middle School Dance at Synergy – November 1
All middle school students are invited to attend a dance at Synergy School. The permission slip can be printed here:

Time: 7pm until 9:30pm
Location: 1387 Valencia Street
Cost: $10 (please return the dance form and payment to Kittredge by Thursday morning)

Spanish Field Trip for Sixth Graders – Thursday, November 7
On Thursday, November 7, our sixth grade students will be visiting “El Barrio de la Mission”. They will see murals, eat burritos and tour the Dia de los Muertos exhibit at the Mission Cultural Center. Students will be leaving around 10:00 am and will be back to school by 3pm.
All 6th grade parents: Please check for an email with the details.

Last Regular Season Volleyball Game is Tomorrow
Congratulations to our volleyball team and their coaches for an exciting and wonderful season. With the regular season ending, we will see if play-offs are in our future. Stay tuned!

Cross-Country Report
The 2019 Kittredge cross-country team, “The Running Gags” will be racing for the last time at 3:30 on Friday at Hellman Hollow. This has been a great season and we’ve watched every runner improve through the weeks. Special thanks to our volunteer drivers, coaches and snack bringers. We couldn’t have done it without your wonderful spirit!
