Halloween at Kittredge
All students should come to school in costume tomorrow, October 31. Costumes cannot include weapons or toy weapons of any kind. Masks and other accessories should be kept in a bag until the parade (weather permitting) at 2:00. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend.

Last Week for the Fall Raffle
The KPA fall raffle ends this Friday, November 2! If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet now is the time to do it!
All proceeds go to supporting teacher requests, field trips, JCC rental, new sports uniforms and more.
Here are the steps:
Fill out the Google form (open by clicking this link) Please remember to click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the form.
You will receive an e-mail notification with your ticket numbers within 48 hrs after submitting your form. Numbers are assigned sequentially based on the time of entry, which is auto-stamped
Submit your payment by Friday, November 2nd to Trudy. Cash or Check payable to KPA in an envelope with your student’s name or PayPal paypal.me/iroit, please remember to include your child’s

Sandcastle Event This Saturday, November 3

The Leap Sandcastle Classic is a day when various schools and organizations have registered to build sandcastles at Ocean Beach and the public can hang out at the beach and watch or maybe participate.

Please return the attached Hot Lunch form for any Friday lunches you want to order in November. Forms need to be turned in by noon on Thursday so we can count your child’s order. The November lunch form is in the office or you can print one here: November Hot Lunch

Your children will be coming home with See’s order forms next Monday, November 5th. Please have them return the forms to their teacher by Tuesday, November 20th.

Spanish Field Trip for Sixth Graders – Thursday, November 8
On Thursday, November 8, our sixth grade students will be visiting “El Barrio de la Mission”. They will see murals, eat burritos and tour the Dia de los Muertos exhibit at the Mission Cultural Center. Students will be leaving around 10:00 am and will be back to school by 3pm.

If you would like to have a sibling be considered for our 2019 early decision, please complete our TADS on-line application and return the parent and teacher forms by November 19th. Early decisions will be sent December 17.

Holiday See’s Candy Fundraiser begins Next Week
Back by popular demand the KPA is sponsoring this holiday fundraiser again this year! You can get your holiday shopping done easily and help the KPA at the same time. All participation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
Your child will be coming home with the See’s order form on Monday, November 5th. Please have your child return the forms to their teacher by Tuesday, November 20th.

Cross-Country Report
The 2018 Kittredge cross-country team, “The Running Gags” will be racing for the last time at 3:30 this Monday at Hellman Hollow. This season was very special as we had many awesome assistant coaches who ran with the team. Special thanks to Susan Keene, Tatiana Piech, Tom and Kristen Vilhauer, who ran at our practices and brought a wonderful spirit with their presence. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Volleyball Playoffs Are in Our Future!
Congratulations to our undefeated volleyball team and their coaches. The regular season ended last week and our team is headed to the playoffs. The exact schedule will be confirmed on Friday, but all games will be next week.
