This Week's News

Halloween Parade

This year's Halloween Parade was a spooky, spectacular time! Thank you to everyone who came to cheer, clap, and sing along. We love seeing our big community come together, especially in costume!

7th & 8th Grade Going to see Frankenstein on Stage

This Thursday, November 2, our 7th & 8th graders are in for a special treat - Ms. Mara is taking them to see a production of Frankenstein at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory School. Students must arrive to school on time, as the class will be leaving promptly at 8:30.

6th Grade Goes to the Mission Cultural Center

Every year, Maestra Lourdes brings our 6th grade class to the Mission for a special field trip to the Mission Cultural Center to see the altars for Dia de los Muertos, and this year that field trip will be this Friday, November 3. Students will see murals in the mission and place their lunch orders in Spanish, from a local taqueria.

Students should bring a water bottle and should wear comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.

Only a Few Spots Left for Thursday's Open House!

We have a few spots left for our Open House this Thursday, November 2. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about the best little school in San Francisco, sign up here.

Diwali

Next Wednesday, November 8, Kittredge will celebrate Diwali!

Kittredge parents Anna Malyala, Jessica May-Shah, and Riva Gokhale have graciously offered, once again, to lead our school in dancing, drawing, and delicious food and drink.

We are so excited to celebrate the festival of lights! Thank you!

Superhero Day

Next Wednesday isn't only Diwali.... it's also our next spirit day! On Wednesday, November 8 we invite all our students and staff to dress up as their favorite super hero, invent a new one, or get creative with what a superhero means to you!

Picture Day

Next Friday, November 10, is Picture Day.

Please be sure that your students are in attendance and dressed as they'd like for their picture! No form is required. If you need any picture day tips, you can check out the MugsyClicks website here.

Looking Ahead

Thanksgiving Break

We can hardly believe it, but Thanksgiving Break is just a few short weeks away, and we bet those weeks will fly by!

Friday, November 17 will be a minimum day with noon dismissal, and the entire following week, November 18-26, we will be on break. Classes resume on Monday, November 27.

We will offer Extended Day care on Monday and Tuesday during regular school hours, and a half day on Wednesday. We need a minimum of five families to offer Extended Day. If you are interested, please reach out to the office at jamieatkittredge@gmail.com.
