This month’s Habit of Mind is Striving for Accuracy. Successful people work thoroughly, and with integrity. This month, we encourage Kittredge students to double-, and even triple-check their work. It is this diligence that creates finished products that one can take pride in, knowing that they did their absolute best.
Congratulations, Coyotes!
We are very proud of our cross country athletes, who did a great job at last Wednesday’s meet. The next race will be Monday, October 17 at Lindley Meadow.
We are also very proud of our Kittredge volleyball team, who won the first varsity game of the season against Burkes on Friday. We love seeing our students work together as a team to do amazing things! The next game will be back at St. Agnes on Tuesday, October 11. The volleyball team plays against Synergy at 4pm.
Science Club with Ms. Rose
Tomorrow’s the day! Session One of this year’s Science Club with Ms. Rose begins Wednesday, October 5. Science Club meets on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:30. If your child is interested, please let Ms. Rose know tonight via email at missdariarose@gmail.com.
Music Classes with Gianfranco
Gianfranco is still offering 6-class workshops in Classical Guitar or Piano. Each class will be a 30 minute one-on-one lesson. We already have a few students signed up, and lessons will begin this Thursday! Email gibaltazar97@gmail.com to enroll, or with any questions.

Fall Holiday
Get ready for a three-day weekend! Next Monday, October 10, there will be no school in observance of our Fall Holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 11.
High School Prep Day
If Kittredge seems especially quiet next Wednesday, October 12, that’s because eighth graders have the first of two high school prep days. This is a day to work on applications, schedule interviews, and dream big about the next step. The second high school prep day will be on Thursday, October 20.

Get ready for your close-up, Kittredge! Picture Day is Wednesday, October 19. Look out for an email from MugsyClicks with all the details of how to order photos after proofs are available.
Field Trips
There are two field trips to look forward to in the coming months:
On Wednesday, October 26th, kindergarten through 4th grade will be getting into the Fall spirit by visiting a pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay. We can’t wait!
On Tuesday, November 1, the entire Kittredge School will visit the Academy of Science. Please make sure you’ve turned in your driver information form – you won’t want to miss out on the fun!

KPA Community Announcements
The Kittredge Fall Camping Trip 2022 was a blast!
There were 10 families, about 35 folks total this time. Our tents were nestled in a pine tree forest, with plenty of trees that allowed us to hang multiple hammocks, which were perfect for relaxing…no, just kidding, perfect for swinging! There were rocky beaches to explore, and a variety of sea-life. Parents brought fun crafts, and games to entertain the kids. We even celebrated Tsali’s 7th birthday with pizza and cupcakes! A camp-dinner favorite (must-have new tradition) was the “Taco Bar Potluck” on Saturday night. Warm, glowing campfires, and plenty of laughs are always part of the tradition. If you missed out, the Spring Camping Trip will be here before you know it!

Monthly KPA meeting 6:15pm-7:15pm
Tuesday, October 11th – Topic Focus: Holiday Happening Planning and a call-out for more volunteers. Both big and small roles are available. Fall-social/raffle planning help as needed. The meeting will be Zoom-only!!! Look for the link next Tuesday.
