Thank You for Coming to the Fall Picnic!
Another successful Fall Picnic in the books! We loved seeing students, parents, teachers, and alumni chatting, laughing, and playing in Mountain Lake Park. Between the delish potluck dishes and the great company, we truly couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off the year. Thank you, Kittredge!
Back-to-School Night is TOMORROW!
Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, at 6:30pm we invite you to join us here at Kittredge for a night of getting to know your child's teachers, and the rest of the school! As a reminder, this is an opportunity to meet your child's teachers, but this is not a parent-teacher conference. Please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule a meeting if you need a one-on-one discussion.
We understand that some parents have multiple Kittredge students, and need to split between two classrooms. If this is the case for you, we understand! Your child's teacher can make sure you get all of the information you need. Similarly, if you are unable to attend Back-to-School Night, please let us know! We will make sure to get you the important information.
Extended Day will close at 6pm, as usual. We will not be offering childcare during Back to School night.
Last Chance to Register for Kid Stock!
This is your last chance to sign your child up for an after-school Drama workshop with Kid Stock! Registration is due no later than tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11.
Every Monday from 3:15 to 5:15, students will meet for a two-hour rehearsal. The first session will begin on Monday the 16th. Rehearsals include rotating workshops in song, dance, and drama as well as full cast activities. Kid Stock serves as a great creative outlet for students who take a particular interest in the performing arts. If you're interested in signing your child up, you can do so here.
Hot Lunch
Hot Lunch this Friday (9/13) will be: Turkey and Cheese Sandwich, Juice Box, Clementine, Carrots.
The cost of each lunch will be $9.00. A second (or even a third) slice, bagel, etc. may be ordered for an additional $2.00 each.

Orders are placed on Thursday morning. All orders must be submitted by end of day on Wednesday.
Cross Country
Cross Country has begun! Practices are Monday and Thursday after school 3:15-4:00pm. The first meet is next Friday, September 20th at 4:30pm, and will be at Hellman Hollow in Golden Gate Park.
Volleyball Starts this Week
Permission slips will go out this week to 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in joining the volleyball team. The season gets off to a quick start with the first game next Monday, September 16.

Science Club Starts Tuesday 9/17
Science Club with Ms. Rose is back for the 2024-2025 school year! Science Club is an after-school STEAM program where students grades 1-8 can engage with the natural world and develop their curiosity and creativity! Meetings will be held on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:30 beginning next Tuesday, September 17. An email with more information and permission slips will go out later this week.

KPA Korner
KPA Meeting CHANGE! New time: Thursday, September 12th at 6pm
Join us for the first KPA Meeting of the year to hear about this year's plans, fundraising goals, ways to get involved and more! This will be the first of just two in-person meetings, so join us at the school (and online). If you're new to the community or returning, this is the opportunity to hear about how you can get involved! Childcare and pizza provided.
