6th grade class rep: Benjamin, Rachel, Shani,
7th grade class rep: Alexander, Maximilian, Sasha

Eighth grader Aria is a competitive Equestrian Vaulter. Because of her strong commitment and hard work, she had a very successful year placing 4th in Nationals for her age group.
For anyone who is interested in learning more about this sport, the World Equestrian Games begin next week in North Carolina. Aria is too young, but seniors from her club in Woodside will be representing the USA. This event will be live streamed on nbcsports.com and Olympicchannel.com,FEI.org. Habit of Mind for September: Listening with Understanding and Empathy
The ability to listen to another person, to empathize with, and to understand their point of view is one of the highest forms of intelligent behavior. Some people interrupt and are unable to consider the merits of another person’s ideas.
Listening with understanding and empathy will help students learn to listen without judgment and prejudice.
“Try to see it my way, only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong. While you see it your way, there’s a chance that we might fall apart before too long. We can work it out. We can work it out.” ~John Lennon and Paul McCartney
