Kittredge Konnection – September 26, 2017

This Thursday… Lemonade Stand for Hurricane Survivors

Student Council representatives voted today to collect funds to help hurricane survivors. On Thursday during Noon recess breaks, there will be a lemonade stand available for students in Rochambeau Park. A donation will be requested but not mandatory.

We know that the Red Cross will accept these donations, but if anyone knows another organization that is helping the hurricane survivors, please let us know.

Also, if anyone has a sports jug for dispensing drinks, we would love to borrow it. Please give us a call.

If you would like to help, please send your kids with a small donation on Thursday.

Yesterday’s Cross Country Race!

The Kittredge School cross-country team, or the Running Gags, had a phenomenal race yesterday! All the runners ran well and all are improving and getting stronger. We haven’t received the official results as of this printing but we know that Cate came in first for all 7th and 8th grade girls, and Alexander came in second for all 5th and 6th grade boys! Kittredge hosted the event and the Gag parents were also phenomenal with their help! Thanks for everybody’s efforts and Go Gags! The season schedule is available here: Cross Country Schedule 2017

High School Admissions Representatives

Every year our 7th and 8th graders are fortunate to have the wonderful experience of meeting and listening to admissions representatives from many of the private high schools in the city. The representatives come to Kittredge and spend about an hour with our students explaining their school and answering questions. This is a very personal and special opportunity that our students receive as they are completing their high school admissions process.

So far they have met with reps from International High School, The Bay School, Stevenson Boarding School, Lick Wilmerding High School, Riordan and Mercy High Schools, Sacred Heart Cathedral, The Jewish Community High School, and St. Ignatius. In October they will hear from Waldorf, Convent and Stuart Hall, UHS, Xian Yun Academy of Arts, and Drew High School.
